What an embarassing game for the Mets today. The Mets loss 15-0. That doesn't even seem like a baseball score. Nonetheless, the Mets managed to lose 15-0. The Yankee rally began in the 2nd and continued in the 4th, by the 8th the Yankees gathered all the runs they needed for a blow out win.
In the 2nd inning Cano lead off the inning with a double, then Swisher hit a sac fly moving Cano over to third. Next, Matsui was walked and Cabera struck out after. Then Francisco Cervelli hit a single to bring in Cano, while moving Matsui over to second. Next Yankees Captain, Derek Jeter singled, bringing Matsui in for another run. However, Jeter and Cervelli were able to advance to second and third. Then Johhny Damon brought Jeter and Cervelli in for the fourth and final run of the inning.
In the fourth, the game blew way out of proportion. The Yankees scored 9 runs! Swisher led off the inning with a walk. Followed by a two-run home-run from Hideki Matsui. Then Melky Cabera doubled, followed by an infield single by Cervelli sending Cabera to third. Afterwards, Jeter got an infield single, bringing in Cabera. Manuel saw enough and took out Johan Santana. But that didn't change anything because Damon doubled, which brought in Cervelli. Then Teixeira got an infield single. But A-Rod came up and grounded into a double play, while bringing in Jeter. Then Robinson Cano came up and hit a two-run home-run. This allowed the Yankees to bat around, and once again Swisher walked. Followed by a walk to Matsui, and a Melky Cabera double that brought in Swisher and Matsui. However, Cabera was thrown out advancing. At the end of the fourth, the score was 13-0 Yankees.
In the 7th Angel Berroa was hit with a pitch after Cervelli flied out. Then Damon walked, followed by another walk to Brett Gardner. Then Ramiro Pena hit an infield single that allowed Berroa to score. Afterwards Cano hit a sacrifice fly that allowed Damon to score. Finally, the Yankee scoring had come to an end.
